Khichu Pizza
Ingredients

Talod Khichu Flour Mix

  • Water – 2 cups
  • Green chilli (finely chopped) – 1 tsp
  • Groundnut oil – 2 tbsp

For Topping

  • Pizza sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Capsicum (chopped) – 2 tbsp
  • Sweet corn – 2 tbsp
  • Onion (finely chopped) – 2 tbsp
  • Processed cheese (grated) – ½ cup
  • Chilli flakes – ½ tsp
  • Oregano – ½ tsp

Method

  1. Heat water in a kadhai or saucepan without bringing it to a boil. Add Talod Khichu Flour Mix and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  2. Add chopped green chilli and cook on low flame, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
  3. Add groundnut oil and cook for another 2–3 minutes until smooth and thick. Switch off the gas.
  4. Transfer to a bowl and serve hot with a drizzle of groundnut oil and sprinkle pickle masala on top.
  5. For Pizza Khichu, allow the prepared khichu to cool slightly. Take a portion, roll it in your hands and flatten it. Make a slight indent in the center.
  6. Spread pizza sauce evenly on top. Add capsicum, sweet corn and chopped onion.
  7. Sprinkle grated processed cheese generously over it.
  8. Grease a steaming plate and place the prepared pizza khichu on it. Steam for 7–8 minutes.
  9. Once done, switch off the gas. Garnish with chilli flakes and oregano.
  10. Serve hot.
